Sapa Charm
Late start at 8:45 to Cat Cat Village. We don’t think it was worth the “sweat” to visit this place when we had to walk back up the steps to the meeting point. Usually tourists will walk down the steps to the river and waterfall, then can have the option to take a bus back up to meeting point. However, due to wet season, usually at the end of the year, the roads condition becomes so bad that buses cannot make it down the river to pick up tourists. There was an option to take a motorcycle back up.
Fansipan was interesting. It was nice to ride the cable car and Funicular, but the weather was foggy and we cannot see anything beyond a few meters. There were some pockets where we were able to see about 100m into the horizon, but all we can see were the trees. Cannot see the valley or terrace farming that was shown in pictures of Fanispan.
